Safety and medical disclaimer

Six Thirty devices are made for cosmetic use at home. They're not medical devices, and they aren't intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Not medical advice

Everything on our website, including our Learn page, is general information, not medical advice. When we mention research, the results belong to those studies, not to tests of our devices. Results vary from person to person.

Check with your GP or pharmacist before use if you:

  • are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • take medicine, supplements or prescription skincare that make your skin sensitive to light, such as some acne treatments, some antibiotics, or St John's wort
  • have epilepsy, or have had a seizure triggered by light
  • have an eye condition or have had eye surgery
  • have a skin condition, a history of skin cancer, or a mole or spot that's changing
  • have recently had a laser treatment, peel or other cosmetic procedure
  • are being treated for any medical condition

Our devices aren't suitable for children.

Using your device safely

  • Keep your eyes closed and don't look directly into the lights.
  • Use it on clean, dry skin and stick to the session time in the instructions.
  • Don't use it on broken, sunburnt or irritated skin.
  • Stop if it feels hot or uncomfortable or your skin gets irritated, and see your GP if that doesn't settle.
  • Keep wearing sunscreen. Red light doesn't protect against UV.

If something on your skin worries you, see your GP or a dermatologist.
